In loving memory of Anna Lombardi

We are greatly saddened to report the loss of Anna Lombardi last Saturday night, after a long struggle with illness.

Anna Lombardi, a great Italian Costume Designer, often collaborated with Academy Award winning designers on movies such as Gangs of New York, Mary Poppins Returns, The Favourite, Captain Corelli’s Mandoline, the Aviator, Angels and Demons, The Sopranos and many others.
In the last decade she has been designing for feature films, short-movies, TV and theatre shows as well as curating costume exhibitions. She was nominated for Best Costume Design to the David di Donatello Academy Awards for her work on “Brutti & Cattivi” directed by Cosimo Gomez and to the Chioma di Berenice Awards for “Anita B.” by Roberto Faenza.

As a member of the Italian ASC, she was a co-founder of ARTSCENICO and became its very active and bright Vice-President. The photo shows her on our last General Assembly in Vienna 2019.
Her energy, her ability to provide help and to develop ideas, her will to gather, federate, and move the Federation forward, was a great help for all of us. Her sudden loss is deeply affecting all ARTSCENICO’s members.

We are missing you, Anna.
We express our sincere condolences to your family, friends, colleagues and the ASC.

All members of ARTSCENICO, in deepest sympathy.
