On 18 May 2024, FERA hosted a compelling event at the Marché du Film, part of the Cannes Film Festival. Titled “Cinema in Action: Use Your Voice, Use Your Vote. For Democracy,” the event highlighted the crucial link between the audiovisual industry and democratic values, especially with the European elections approaching.
Moderated by FERA CEO Pauline Durand-Vialle, the event featured a documentary encouraging Europeans to vote and keynote speeches by Stephen Clark and Mark Downey. Notable speakers like Ewa Puszczyńska and Alina Serban emphasized the importance of film in fostering critical thinking and the impact of voting on democracy.
