The Berlin-based Fundus Delikatessen is a new partner of ARTSCENICO!
With more than 10.500 square meters, DELIKATESSEN offers everything that Production designers, Set Designers, Set Decorators, Dressers, and Propmasters could wish for.
Over 48.000 items of equipment are waiting to be discovered and borrowed on 7 floors of the Berlin Fundus prop store. Each item is photographed, carefully recorded, and described in the digital catalog according to various categories. Since their beginnings, they kept sustainability in mind. Not only do they try to use props built in Europe, but they also repair them in their own workshops. They’ve built one of Berlin’s first wooden storage buildings, and now produce 35% of their used energy themselves.
The safe in “The Bourne Identity”, the cutlery in “The Reader”, and the dragonfly sculpture in “The Lives of Others” are all well-known props.
Managing Director Susanne Hein herself, who runs DELIKATESSEN Fundus, has worked very successfully for many years as a film Set Decorator and Prop Buyer, so she really knows how to fulfill every filmmaker’s dream of a Prop House. All in all: a wonderfully rich treasure trove. It’s great to have a partner like this!
